Red States Doing Better

 Instapundit highlights an article in the Washington Examiner that shows that red states are doing better than blue states, economically.

In particular, the unemployment rates different states are experiencing are strongly correlated with the harshness and length of the pandemic lockdowns their state governments imposed. With a few exceptions, Republican governors rolled back restrictions on the economy much faster than their Democratic counterparts.

Louisiana is supposedly a red state, but we have a Democrat governor who absolutely adores Federal Money, and a group of RINOs in the legislature that Moon Griffon call the Fraud Squad.  These erstwhile Republicans vote with the Democrats on many initiatives and refuse to enact true reform.

I note that many self-identified Republicans are actually Democrats, but no self-proclaimed Democrat is ever a Republican.
