LA Bill to Ban Transgender in Sports heads to Governor

The Louisiana Legislature has passed a bill that would prohibit biological males from participating in high school and college women's sports.

A bill prohibiting trans athletes from participating in K-12 and college girl’s and women’s sports passes in the House 77-17. Jefferson Representative Laurie Schlegel said the bill seeks to protect biological females and ensure a fair competitive environment.

This bill protects girls and women from transgender athletes  It's about basic fairness.  Men should not be allowed to compete against women.  It's kind of basic.

The bill is headed to the governor’s desk where it’s expected to be vetoed.

It appears that Louisiana is going to have quite a veto session.  Louisiana's governor, John Bel Edwards is bad for Louisiana, bad for business, bad for basic fairness, bad for out-migration, bad for generally everything that should put Louisiana at the top of the nation.  Did I mention that he is a Democrat?

At 77-17, John Bel's veto is merely virtue signaling. He knows he will be over-ridden.

You know you are living in a crazy world when legislation is needed to make the obvious legal.
