Did Milley Over-Step?

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is the highest ranking military officer in the United States.  He answers to the Secretary of Defense.  His duties are wide-ranging.

Bob Woodward has written a book that claims that Milley did things that, while they might not amount to treason under the Constitution, certainly may result in criminal referrals under the US Code.

And, according to at least one source, certain officers who work for Milley are willing to testify under oath against him.

This story is breaking, and I have no idea whether any of it is true.  It is certainly salacious, and one wonders first about the veracity of the original allegation, secondly about the purported leak from the White House, and third abut why all this is coming to light right now?

Is Milley on the way out?  Most Chairmen are.  It is the highest raking post in the US military.  There is no where else to go.  Generally, retirement follows.  Yet, one might wonder why these stories are breaking now?

If true, he's committed treason subject to Art 94 UCMJ.
