Thomas Sowell is one of the beat thinkers of the 20th (and 21st) century. I've been reading his stuff for 40 years and while he has infuriated me on occasion, I never doubted his intelligence, his reasoning, or his acumen. Take a few minutes and watch this video. It's well worth your time.

Yep, truth right there! And he's going to be called an Uncle Tom and worse for that book and this interview...
My father's opinion of intellectuals - over-educated idiots. Mr. Sowell puts a nicer spin on it. Without common sense all your knowledge, expertise, is useless at best and harmful if not carefully applied.
