RIP Luke Letlow

I see with some regret and chagrin that Congressman-elect Luke Letlow has succumbed to the coronavirus.  He was elected in December and was supposed to take office in January.

He was to serve as my Congressman.

I will pray for his family.

I know what happens when a Senator dies; the governor appoints someone to fill in.
But what about Representatives? Will Ralph Abraham stay on until another election is held? Or does the governor appoint someone until the State has a special election?

For US Reps, Gov doesn't have authority to appoint. Gov must call for an election, in this case on March 20. Pursuant to Article 1, Sec 2, Clause 4 of US Constitution (pertaining to House of Representatives) - "When vacancies happen in the Representation from any State, the Executive Authority thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies."

There is something genetic the scientists are missing . Some folk just have a flu bug but others it kills them bigtime . An old family friend of mine just passed from covid and his sis and brother did too within a month . Big strong healthy folks all there life . So sad .

I've been having second thoughts about the vaccine -- no long term testing done. Saw my cardio this morning for routine follow-up and he STRONGLY advised me to do it; says these vaccines are not the "old" variety of give a measured dose of the bug so the body can generate antibodies. Went to county web (I'm in FL) site to register -- closed. No registration until they receive next batch. No waiting list to be ready? Yep, my government at "work".
