This is a great rant.
People are getting very tired of being told how to live their lives. People have long been tired of government mandates. It's one thing for government to educate and cajole, it's another thing entirely or government to pick winners and losers.
The service industry, restaurants, salons, and other small enterprises have taken the brunt of this pandemic. If we accept the metaphor that small business is the backbone of the American economy, then explain to me how we sever the spine and expect the patient to not be paralyzed.
It is idiocy like this that makes people distrust government.

"...the science".....HEH, "they" always bring up the science.....the science that proves "their" side of the argument. THEY never bring up the science of the economic disaster lock downs bring about.
