Converstions Over Lunch

Sunday lunch around here is quite entertaining.  Belle and I invite friends and family, and today, was quite enjoyable.  The menu was pork chops with rice,  purple hull peas, okra and tomatoes , and cornbread.  Assorted soft drinks.

Today, in addition to the children and grandchildren, we had a Registered Nurse, an old cop, a PhD educator, and a pharmacist.  Oh, and a prison correctional officer.  An eclectic group.

After lunch we were talking about past jobs, and bar tending came into the conversation.  I told them about a cocktail I used to make at the country bar where I bar tended.  The Colorado Bulldog.  Of course, the ladies demanded that I get up and make a round.  Because... cocktails.

COLORADO BULLDOG

1.5 oz vodka
1.5 oz coffee liqueur
1.5 oz Irish cream
Milk
Coca-Cola.

In an 8 oz cocktail glass, add ice and the booze.  Fill nearly to the brim with milk, then add a skim of Coca-Cola to the top.  Shake or stir.  Be advised that this is a three-shot drink, so pace yourself.
