Not Chili Weather

It's 92 degrees out there, and the wind chill is 104.  And I was hungry for chili.

So, I made a pot.

This ain't Texas chili.  I don't live in Texas. However, once upon a time I did eat a bowl of white chili in Texas, and it was full of beans.  White beans, sliced jalapenos, and finely chopped pork.  Great stuff.  I may make a pot of that when the weather cools off in late November.

I call it either Home-style chili or 'Feed My Family' style chili. Everyone from Granny down to the youngin' still trying to hit their mouth with a spoon can eat it.

I call it Firehouse chili. Ground beef, chili powders, beans, green peppers, white onion, canned tomato's pureed and Rotel.

the beans/no beans debate...either way, it's still chili...personally i like it with beans but as long as their is some type of meat in it, i'm happy...adding some ground sausage with the ground beef def gives it some extra flavor...a great winter dinner for sure...spoon of sour cream on top and some oyster crackers and nom nom nom...

Holler when it's ready. I'll bring my own bowl.
