This was the weekend that kept on giving.
After we learned that my brother had died on Friday, we were trying to adjust to the shock, then on Saturday afternoon, we learned that our Mother had fallen and broken a hip. Thankfully, Mom lives close and had plenty of support.
The docs did surgery this morning, a complete replacement. Mom just got out of surgery and the doc reports that she came through it well.
This weekend has been a total skunk-striped bitch. And, any Monday I have to spend at a hospital cannot be described as a complete success.
I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring.

On Tuesday the sun will come up, your mother will be recovering nicely, and you will always have fond memories of your brother. You have our sympathy, and we lit a candle in the window last night in memory of your brother.
When it rains, it pours. I'm sorry the 'Life Sometimes Sucks' is being pushed on you and your family. I hope your Mom recovers quickly and well.
