Last Sunday, I asked the rhetorical question, What will John Roberts do?
Turns out, he'll do exactly as expected. He's punting, but probably on Constitutional grounds. The Constitution requires the Chief Justice to sit on an impeachment of the President, but Donald Trump is no longer the president, so it falls to the the President pro-tempore of the Senate to preside over the trial.
Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) is tagged with that chore.
So, if Leahy is presiding, he can't vote, and if Commie Harris ain't there, the Democrats don't have a majority. Isn't it amusing what a 50-50 Senate can do?

I read where Senator Leahy got put in the hospital right after taking the reigns of the donkey . I wonder if he believes in Gawd and one that judges us earth dwelling mortals ? I'll bet he's considering it right now .

It takes a 2/3 majority of all Senators to remove a President from office. That equates to 67, which means that the Dems would have to get 17 Republican senators willing to risk their careers to express their hatred of President Trump. Ain't going to happen.
