Christmas Weather

It looks like we are in for a deep chill on Christmas weekend.  Predicted temps will set records.

I mean, seriously, they are predicting 8F for Friday morning, which is causing everyone to be in panic mode.  And,it looks like it is going to hang on over the weekend.

Friday won't get above freezing at all, but at least we will be in double digits.  Saturday and Sunday will begin the thaw, but most folks in central Louisiana are simply not equipped for such cold.  In short, it's going to get interesting.

I hope the weather weenies are wrong, but hope is not a plan, so I'm going to start getting ready right now.

Yep, top off and keep your gasoline in car topped off. A brown out where electricity will be gone for days will mean no gas pump will work until restored.

Heat source that also supplies light - candles and lanterns. Flashlights are very convenient but you can't heat with them light the old technology will.

Don't forget your outdoor pets - extra food for them as well as a place out of the weather.

Its a good thing Christmas vacation is going on. No extra trips required to drop them off.

We're covered in S. Texas.
Just got the propane tank topped off last week and plenty of food, so even if ERCOT screws the pooch like they did two years ago, the only thing we'll be lacking is....
Lighting and shore based internet. Hotspot and laptops will take care of that.
