Quiet

It's quiet in the tropics.  That is good news.  So far this season, we have had only three named storms and no hurricanes in the Atlantic basin.  The map from the National Hurricane Center looks quiet as well.

On this last day of July, we still have four months left in the season, and things are apt to start popping at any time.

Very good, for sure; I check every morning.

I have read two articles now that say any power outages as a result of storm damage could be extended to months rather than days due to supply line issues. Scary, to say the least. Not sure how long my generators are really prepared to go, even if I can find a continuous gasoline supply (I use a number of 5-gallon containers).

Yep, and with a La Nina, it 'might' get interesting...
