WATCH: Sen. John Kennedy questions Jackson in Supreme Court confirmation...

I love my Senator, John Kennedy of Louisiana.  In the video below, he leads Whatshername Jackson down a primrose path.  It's fun to watch the full exchange, but you can skip ahead to the ~27 minute mark.

Kennedy asks her about when life begins, then watches her hem and haw about judicial philosophy.  Then he asks her a very simple question.  "When does equal protection attach"?:  She appears stunned, and says that she does not know.  Equal protection is a bulwark of our legal system, and the questioned should be easily answered by any member of the judiciary.  Yet, she is unprepared for the question.

It looks like to me that her first thoughts were , " this swamp dwelling hick will be a pushover' but after a few minutes of corn country wisdom and intellect she put her guard way up there and decided to just keep saying I don't know . Sen Kennedy is a formidable opponent and his particular form of country wit and wisdom shines through . He always reminded me of the biblical example of wisdom in the story of Solomon cutting the baby in two .Hick indeed Heh .

John Kennedy plays the "dumb country lawyer" most excellently.

He can lay a trap so cleverly that most people he is interviewing don't realize it until far too late.

She is only there because she is black and maybe a woman. She herself said she cannot define "Woman". A woman with any self respect would refuse the nomination because Biden made it quite clear that legal qualification was not necessary.

I know I should be troubled about this, but meh..

She's an oily diversity hire lacking logic, reason, and any sense that she's there to interpret the law.
