Burnet, TX

We're in Burnet, Tx.  We got here about 4:00 this afternoon.

I live in central Louisiana, and we're in central Texas.  That verdampt GPS took me to Katy, TX, just north of Houston before pointing us north.  Evidently, there ain't any roads that go across central Texas.

WE made pretty good time, but holy cow, it was an interesting road trip.  I wonder which route it is going to take me home on?

Srsly, you never looked at Google maps before you left?
I10 to Beaumont to (maybe take 8 to go around) Houston, 290 To Austin, 183N to Liberty Hill, then W on 29. 6 1/2 hours, 421 miles.

Oh well, have fun, don't shoot yourself in the foot.

That was a roundabout way to Burnet. You might want to get to TX63 which connects to LA8/28 towards Alex.

Hey, you're in my backyard!!!! Heh, just to let y'all know....if you want to go to something in Texas it will take an hour.....if you want to go to something really interesting in Texas it takes two hours.
While in Texas you might want to go to Marble Falls....some really neat knick/knack shops on the old Main Street. Or head all the way to Fredericksburg. That's the center of the Texas wine industry, the South Pacific Museum and some really great German food.
Oh and if you get to Fredericksburg, just east of there is Luckenbach; that town Willie and Merl sang about.
