I don't know why they haven't come out with the gun camera footage. That might answer a lot of the public's questions. This administration doesn't want to answer questions. Transparency means nothing to them.

Why they won't publish the film footage. Depending on acquisition and weapon locking requirements, there could be a lot of classified information on them.
Best explanation that I've heard is China is testing our radar coverage as they do all the time. Rather than reveal what we know, we don't react. The balloon was seen by a Civilian with the naked eye and it became a political football. I'm not sure why we have had to shoot down the last 3 in short order.
Based on the above scenario then if this was routine, we should have just said "Yep, weather balloon" and let it go. We didn't. Why would China need to test our radar coverage for the continental 48? What info can balloons collect that they can not get by other means (Humint).
US Bio labs in the Ukraine were supposedly testing spread of viruses via migrating birds. I believe high altitude dispersion of viruses (viri?) and other biologics would be poor due to the dispersion and due to UV at high altitude having a sterilizing effect.
I would suspect we've done fly bys on these things (if routine) and have a decent idea of the purpose of the payload. Not sure what is going on. We are all mushrooms.
I'd bet that if they went up wind from the Yukon and Lake Hunon, they'd discover a lot of empty beer cans. The pop-ups aren't Chinese. Look for the beer cans. Mm

This regime has made it clear they don't care about the people and very few if any morals, which isn't surprising given the controversy over their taking power.
If they really were elected properly, why have they fought so hard to hide the data?
No video. Lots of video regarding that "real" chinesiam balloon. But now no video...HM!??!?!
