Strange Weather

We've had a really early cool front move into the area.  Temps this morning are in the 60s with a northerly breeze, but unlike other fronts, this one one overlaid with cloud cover from Tropical Storm Beta,  It was drizzling at 5:00.

Beta is predicted to make landfall along the Teas coast, then make a hard right and head northeast, coming across us sometime later this week as a remnant low, with the accompanying rain.  For us, it's not much of a wind event.

But, with a northerly breeze and temps in the 60s, it's time to break out the gumbo pot.  I'll make a big chicken and sausage gumbo later this morning.  THe family will gather this afternoon and we'l head to the funeral home for visitation.

Tomorrow's weather is expected to be like today;s, and we'll bury Jerome under cloudy skies.  I hope the rain holds off until the graveside ceremony is over.

The Gumbo sounds great - I'm sure Jerome would be there if he could. I hope the rain holds off until the burial is completed.

Yesterday afternoon, I could feel a slight northerly breeze from Beta, it felt much better than the normal hot muggy wind that is Texas Summer. They say this winter is supposed to be cooler and wetter than usual.
