Honestly, I had to Google her to remember which songs she was noted for. But, the 70s were a weird time for me, and I didn't pay much attention to music. I'm sure that the girls who ran in the same circles I ran in were more familiar with her music.
Update. Mac Davis, singer songwriter, also passed away at his hone in Nashville. He was 78 years old.

My Sis-in-law used to sing that "I am Woman"song trying to get under my conservative skin , her being a frigid democrat socialist and all . I quickly composed my alternative anthem and my adoring and quite conservative wife would join in singing with me much to her sisters chagrin. I won't bore you with the entire lyrics but it started out like this . " I am woman hear me squeak , I have to squat to take a leak " . Ahhhh ! The good old days !
