Ancient Aviation

This is cool.  From Strategy Page.

This is one of three XP-59A prototypes. The first prototype XP-59A flew in the fall of 1942 at Muroc Dry Lake (now Edwards AirForce Base), Calif. (U.S. Air Force photo)
That's a good looking airplane.

That is a great looking aircraft. It is one I use to prove to those difficult people who continue to argue that the USA did not have an operational jet until after WWII. Thanks for the picture.

To me, that airplane appears very "P-51ish" without the prop. It is an attractive aircraft.

In a slight way it reminds me of a Paris jet.
