Wordpress

I've been playing with a new (to me) program and I've set up a site in case I want to get away from Blogger. You can see it here. I'm not ready to move yet, but I've published a posting at the new site about practical rifle marksmanship.

Give it a read, and tell me what you think about the new site. It's rough right now, but hopefully I can learn enough to move to the new site and get away from some of the problems I've had with Blogger.

The Wordpress site looks solid. It is nice and clean, I kind of like that.

Posted a test comment over there, seemed to work.

Google's RSS reader picked up the subscription just fine.

Good article by the way.

All the links work besides the "Valid XHTML" link. It just sets the browser to endlessly loading.

The search function worked also.

I noticed that my test comment did not show up.

Sorry for the comment spam, insomnia is melting my brain.

my test comment over there worked, sort of. the article shows no comments, but, when you click through to the article it shows up.

Thanks cobar. I think I tuned the comments some. This is a learning opportunity for me, and I appreciate your help. Your comment was in moderation and I made some changes about how comments moderate.

Second comment test looks to have worked. Quick work there.

Do not mind helping at all. I figure I owe you for sucking up all the entertaining and educational writing you put out there for us.

So move ...

I've been happy with my move tow WordPress. It's a little more work to maintain, but I like it better than Blogger

PawPaw: The Wordpress blog looks fine to me. No frills, just your good writing and advice.

My advice: Take it to TypePad, where it will work just fine (actually, they have a hybrid sort of WP over there already).

I like it - the page loads faster than blogger, and comments load MUCH faster.
