Comey's Desperation

 The one fellow everyone wishes would simply go away is James Comey.  He disgraced himself in the eyes of the world during the Clinton email scandal and has been trying ever since to repair his reputation.  He's launching a new book, which I won't link to.  He doesn't deserve the link.

You may recall that he laid out every single element of a crime in the Clinton email investigation, then told the American people that he didn't believe any competent prosecutor would touch it.  It was Hillary Clito, after all, and no one would ut her in ail, much less obtain a conviction.

Then, in the early days of the Trump administration, he used a discredited dossier as the predicate to go before a FISA court and spy on Americans.  Under Comey's watc, the FBI became a politicized tool to be used against opponents of the Democrat party.  He was rightly fired by President Trump.

Comey so damaged the reputation of the FBI that many Americans no longer trust them to be fair and honest representatives o American law enforcement.  I know that if I am ever approached by and FBI agent, I am going to do four things.  1) inspect his or her credentials. 2) tell them to talk with my lawyer, 3) invoke the 5th Amendment, and 4) order them off my property.

Many people believe that under Comey's watch, the FBI became the political arm of the Deep St ate.  Rather than enforce the law in a reputable manner, they now protect the Deep State and harass its opponents.They will lie to the courts, suppress evidence, and run interference for corruption.

Culpable, Accountable

It seems that the Obama team may finally be coming to that time where their culpability will finally be exposed for all to see, and be forced to account for their malfeasance.  The idea that Obama had a scandal-free administration is both laughable and myopic.  Those of us who railed against government excess can remember the way that Obama and his minions played fast-and-loose with both the law, and the ethics of governing.

The complicit media was no help.  By fawning over the first black president and failing to hold him accountable, they did themselves no favors.  The lack of scrutiny and journalistic curiosity about anything that the administration didn't want covered  is a huge stain on the journalist class.

The remains of the Obama team (Susan Rice, Ben Rhodes, Hillary Clinton, John Brennan, James Comey, Samantha Power) are not offering much of a defense for the Obama years — they are now too busy scrambling to hide their own legal culpability and exposure. The bending arc of the 2009 dream team finally ends in the platitudes of “I can’t remember” and “Not to my knowledge” that will eventually find their way from CNN and MSNBC into the court room.

I remember the Obama administration to be one big rolling scandal.  From the very start, terms like Fast and Furious, Lois Lerner,  and Obamacare entered into the national consciousness.  Now, it seems that the last scandal, Russia, Russia, may finally bring some accounting.  Perhaps if the media had been more curious about the earlier scandals, and less complicit in the cover up, the Obama team might have been less bold in trying to undo a national election. 

I have no expectation that Obama himself will ever face the docket, but his minions, Clapper, Comey, Rice, et al, feel the sting of handcuffs and are forced to account for their indiscretions, then perhaps America will know that the law applies to everyone.

Good Questions

Several weeks ago, the president's press secretary told reporters that they should be asking questions about LTG Michael Flynn to the Obama organization.

Today, another reporter asked if President Trump might pardon Obama for what seems to be crimes that occurred during the unmasking of General Flynn.

Her answer was a slam-dunk.



Wow!  She is like a high-school teacher giving an unruly class homework over a long weekend.  You can bet that if any of those un-curious reporters dare to ask a follow-up next week, there will be a pop quiz.

Digging UP Dirt

PJMedia is reporting that the FBI offered to pay for dirt on Trump campaign associates during the 2016 election.

British spy Christopher Steele was offered money by Obama’s FBI to dig up dirt on Mike Flynn. The proposal came in the weeks before the 2016 election. This offer hasn’t received any press until now and was first reported by The Daily Caller. “The inspector general’s report, released on Dec. 9, 2019, said that FBI agents offered to pay Steele ‘significantly’ to collect intelligence from three separate ‘buckets’ that the bureau was pursuing as part of Crossfire Hurricane, its counterintelligence probe of four Trump campaign associates.”

That's just wrong.  The FBI has no business getting into electoral politics, and every good agent in the agency should be clamoring for a total cleaning, to p to bottom.  Under Obama/Comey the FBI went from the worlds premier law enforcement agency into a farcical bureau that seemed to want to influence the outcome of a presidential election.  With all the revelations, I would be ashamed to carry the FBI's badge today.  I'm sure that there are some good officers at the line level, but they should be raising hell to start indicting the guys who made then into a corrupt clown-show.

That Other Thing

While the vast majority of America is focused on the covid crisis, some interesting things have been happening that you may not have heard about.  LTG Michael Flynn, a decorated warrior and more lately, a bigwig in the Trump administration, was famously charged by the FBI for lying to them.  The cases wended it's way through the court system, and we found out that the Feds had been playing screw-around with the evidence and the case blew up in their faces.

As of this writing, Flynn is a free man.  The charges have been dropped, and there is an investigation into the corruption in the upper offices of the past FBI regime.  It may reach into the Obama White House.

So, the Wall Street Journal was a bit mystified when Obama started talking smack.

“Barack Obama is a lawyer, so it was stunning to read that he ventured into the Michael Flynn case in a way that misstated the supposed crime and ignored the history of his own Administration in targeting Mr. Flynn. Since the former President chose to offer his legal views when he didn’t need to, we wonder what he’s really worried about.”

My father always told me that if you throw a rock into a crowd, the fellow you hit is going to holler.  Obama was knee-deep in the Russia, Russia, Russia collusion effort to damage the Trump administration.  He knows that when his useful minions sart to be indicted, his name is going to be all over the interview narratives.  He's worried about being indicted.  And rightly so.  He weaponized the FBI, CIA, and IRS  along with a host of other alphabet agencies for his political gain. He's corrupt ad he knows it.  He's worried about going to jail.

There Is Bound to Be a Law

Against one administration trying to sabotage the incoming administration.

Obama was in it all along.   PJMedia reports:

On January 5, 2017, a meeting was held in the Obama White House in the Oval Office. Both President Obama and Vice President Biden attended. This meeting, it turns out, was critical to the anti-Trump operation by the Obama administration, reports Mollie Hemingway at The Federalist. “It was at this meeting that Obama gave guidance to key officials who would be tasked with protecting his administration’s utilization of secretly funded Clinton campaign research, which alleged Trump was involved in a treasonous plot to collude with Russia, from being discovered or stopped by the incoming administration,” she wrote.

This meeting happened just 15 days before Trump was inaugurated on Jane 20th.

 Also in attendance at this meeting was then-CIA Director John Brennan, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, then-national security adviser Susan Rice, then-FBI Director James Comey, then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, and other members of the national security council.

Comey Again?

PJMedia is reporting that former FBI director Jim Comey broke the law protecting classified information and leaked information in violation of that law.  Of course, no one is going to prosecute it.

According to Solomon's sources, the IG report will conclude that Comey "leaked classified information and showed a lack of candor," but DOJ prosecutors declined to bring charges because they didn't think they had enough evidence to prove that Comey intended to violate the law.

I'm no lawyer, but I didn't know that intent was an element of the classified information law. If I were a DOJ prosecutor, I'd be looking hard at the law to see if intent is even covered.  Some laws require intent, some don't.  If this one doesn't, then what we're seeing is another attempt to shield a perful person fromm the consequences of their actions.

Collusion

Liz Shield knocks it out of the park with her Morning Brief this morning, regarding McCabe's stunning admission yesterday.

So "Andy's office" told Scott Pelley of "60 Minutes" that he and some of his derp staters wanted to nullify the duly elected President Trump via the 25th amendment and claim Trump was unable to fulfill his duties as president because RUSSIA...

 As of today, the number of people indicted or pleading to treasonous collusion with RUSSIA is ZERO. After two years, not a single person has been busted for anything related to RUSSIA or working with RUSSIA to steal the election.

 I'll be glad when Mueller makes his report and it turns out that this whole RUSSIA collusion thing is a big nothing-burger.   The Deep State was pissed when Trump was elected and they were really pissed when he fired Comey.  What they fail to remember is that Hillary would have fired Comey too, and would have been fully justified in doing so.

 

What The Hell?

It's all over the news that Roger Stone, a previous Trump advisor was arrested this morning.  It's everywhere.   In the pre-dawn hours, the FBI executed an arrest warrant at Stones home in Florida.

Amazingly, it was all caught on video.



The big news, to my mind, is not that the FBI arrested someone for whom they had a warrant.  That is their job.  The big news is that the FBI is now tipping off news agencies when they make a splashy arrest.

This is what the FBI has become.  It's a shame, it's a damned shame.

Flake Flips and Can We trust the FBI

Senator Jeff Flake, flipped today in a highly dramatic fashion ad got the Senate to agree to an FBI investigation of the sexual allegations against Judge Kavanaugh.  Good for him.  He's retiring.  Very good.

In retrospect, that might be the right thing to do.  It might clear up some questions, though I doubt it.

I'm sure that before many more hours elapse, someone is going to be knocking on Dr. Ford's door.  She will have to re-live this nightmare all over again.  But, hey, if it makes the Democrats feel better, it will probably be worth it.  And that's what this is all about; helping the Democrats to feel better .

That is, if you can trust anything that the FBI says.  They're the ones who couldn't find enough evidence to arrest Hillary after they found classified data on an insecure server.  But, they might bed heaven ad earth to find something, anything on Kavanaugh, because that would better serve their Democrat overlords.

The larger question is; can we trust the FBI?   Personally, I don't think that they can track a white elephant up a muddy creek bank.

The Clinton Emails

Liz Shield, in her morning brief at PJMedia, details a story that I hadn't heard about the Clinton email server that Comey refused to prosecute.

A Chinese-owned company operating in the Washington, D.C., area hacked Hillary Clinton’s private server throughout her term as secretary of state and obtained nearly all her emails, two sources briefed on the matter told The Daily Caller News Foundation.
The Chinese firm obtained Clinton’s emails in real time as she sent and received communications and documents through her personal server, according to the sources, who said the hacking was conducted as part of an intelligence operation.

The Chinese wrote code that was embedded in the server, which was kept in Clinton’s residence in upstate New York. The code generated an instant “courtesy copy” for nearly all of her emails and forwarded them to the Chinese company, according to the sources.

Just to recap; Clinton had a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State, ostensibly as a go-around for the responsibility to keep public records.  There was classified information on that server.  The Chinese obtained it in real time.

Comey Is Ashamed

As well he should be.  Comey is ashamed, disgusted, horrified.  We feel the same way, Jim.  Your performance as FBI chief made the whole nation ashamed, disgusted, and horrified that the greatest law enforcement organization in the world couldn't find reason to arrest and prosecute a career felon, after laying out the elements of the offense on television.  Trust me, Jim, we were all horrified and disgusted.

Oh.. wait...  he's talking about something else.

“I am ashamed of the way my country has acted with respect of those children. I am disgusted, I am horrified, I am embarrassed, I’m ashamed,” Mr Comey said in a public interview in Dublin on Friday.

It;s the law, Jimbo.  We can fix the law.  What we can't fix are guys like you, who turn their eyes away from highly placed politicians who think that they can get away with anything.

Comey is another one of those people who should just go away and  shut up.

Is Kerry Violating the Logan Act?

That's the big question:  Is John Kerry violating the Logan Act?  Alan Dershowitz says that he probably is.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry would be violating the Logan Act, if it was enforced, for secretly speaking with foreign leaders about salvaging the Iran nuclear deal during Trump’s presidency, Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz argued Saturday.

No one is going to enforce the Logan Act against Kerry.    Why?  Because we have a two-tier system of justice in the US.  If you're a high-ranking Democrat, you are safe from prosecution. 

Comey's Disgrace

Jim Comey continues to beclown himself.  He's moaning now that the Trump administration holds institutions of justice in contempt.

Former FBI Director James Comey charged that the Trump administration views "institutions of justice with contempt -- as just another piece on the board" to be manipulated.

Well, Jim, you ignorant bastard, you probably had to do more with the FBI losing credibility than anyone in the past three decades.  Under your watch, you gave Hillary a pass and we've recently learned that your second, another complete asshole, issued a stand-down order during that investigation.

Yeah, Jim, under your watch, the FBI became a laughing-stock.  Many of us think that it is now simply a political subdivision of the Democratic Party.  Under your watch, Jim, we found that we have a two-tiered system of justice, one where the political elite gets a pass, when lesser mortals committing virtually the same actions go to prison.

Thanks, Comey, you unrepentant asshole.  You, personally, have done more to damage the credibility of law enforcement than any other single individual in my lifetime.    Many of us hold you in utter contempt.

Did The FBI Stand Down?

Glenn Reynolds links to an article that asks the question.  Did McCabe order the FBI to stand dwon on the Clinton email investigation?

Well, somebody damned sure did.  I was watching TV that morning when Comey outlined a prima facie case for mis-handling classified information. From what little experience I have handling classified documents, someone would have gone to jail, if her last name wasn't Clinton.

That lizard Jim Comey is launching a book tour and he began it with the talking heads on Sunday morning.  He said that President Trump is morally unfit to be president.

Former FBI Director James Comey called Donald Trump unfit to lead the nation, saying in an interview that aired Sunday that the president is “someone for whom truth is not a high value” and who treats women “like they’re pieces of meat.”

 Well, Jimno, let me tell you.  I watched you on national TV, outline a staggering case against a presidential candidate, making every point, every element of the offense,  You made a complete presentation of a crime, then wrapped it up my saying that the offender would not be prosecuted.

At that point, you unwittingly made the case that we have a bifurcated criminal justice system in the US.  One for the politically connected, and one for the rest of us.  This all came about at a time where the same DOH you work for was prosecuting a sailor for taking a selfie to show his parents where he worked. 

Jim Comey is a lizard.  He is a disgrace to cops everywhere.  He's morally unfit to have an opinion .  If I ever get the opportunity, I'm going to spit on his shoes.

The Dowager from Chappaqua

Yeah, she's back in the news.  The failed politician, the enabler of her sex-abuser husband, the gal who lost not one, but two huge elections to political newcomers.  Yeah, she's upset.  We failed her.  She goes outside the US to make speeches about how badly we failed her.

She's lucky that she is free.  In a just world, she'd be in prison for mishandling classified information, but the law only applies to little folks, not to her.   Her tenure as Secretary of State is also marked with failure, the murder of four great Americans on her watch.  She racks up failure after failure, and expects us to commiserate with her.  Not likely.

We're moving forward, and we're doing it (thankfully) without her.  She is a loathsome, evil woman.  Luckily, she has Secret Service protection.  If we ever get a judge to issue warrants, she's just a phone call away.

Comey Beclowns Himself

Jim Comey, ever the weasel, has beclowned himself on Twitter.  On the morning when President Trump is threatening to release some memo that all Democrats hate, Comey wades into karma and irony.

Hey, Jim, aren't you the weasel who declared that Hillary was not prosecutable, after laying out the elements of the crime, a crime that would get any service member prosecuted for mis-handling classified information?

Lots of people have been prosecuted for doing less than Hillary did, but it took a weasel like Jim Comey to try and clear her.  Karma's a bitch, ain't it Jim?

Just go away, Jim.  You sullied the badge and the profession, and now you're looking for your place in history.  You have already made your place in history, and it's not an honorable one.

The Cancer In The FBI

I've learned a lot about cancer over the past decade.  If a body has cancer, there is only a couple of things to do about it.  Excise it, cut it out.  Radiate it.  Expose it, Or you Die.

Much the same, as a cancer in our public institutions, when they forget that they serve the people, impartially, regardless of political persuasion.  You may not like the bastard that the people elected, but you serve without political bias.  The FBI forgot that.

Peter Strzok and Lisa Page -- that low-rent Hero and Leander of the Beltway -- certainly believed that. You know that from the contents of their compulsive text messages even though five key months are suddenly "missing." The inside of the FBI, particularly at the higher reaches, seems to have been filled with a band of smug, self-righteous ideologues who would do anything, erase or rephrase anything, to get their way.  And then lie about it.  Either that or quote scripture.  Or form "secret societies."

The FBI, once the most trusted and respected law enforcement agency in the world, has been exposed as a weaponiszed political police force, not unlike the KGB of Stalinist Russia..  The recent revelations of the cancer within the FBI is a staggering indictment against a once-proud agency that once served the American people without thought of political allegiance.  They served Democrat and Republican alike.

I couldn't tell you today who the Director of the FBI might be, and frankly, I don't care.  What I do care about is that law enforcement at all levels, from the local small-town police department to the nations highest Federal Bureau, serve The People.  It is becoming increasingly clear that the FBI, since Comey's tenure, has a cancer, and it should be excised in the most public, humiliating way possible.  We should see firings and prosecutions on a huge level.  What I'm seeing may not rise to the level of treason, but it certainly has the stink of malfeasance.
