Sunday Morning Dawg
This past summer, some of the grandkids were playing with a frisbee and was left in the backyard. After a rainstorm, we noticed that the dog liked drinking from it. He really loves mudholes and ditches and thinks that rainwater tastes great. So, we left the frisbee on the deck to collect dew and rainwater from the drip edge of the house.

I wonder what it is about feral as opposed to domestic water that dogs like? My pup, Bella likes to drink rainwater from the jury rigged birdbath (Aluminum pie tin, on the back deck.) I set out for the chicadees and juncos patronizing the feeders on the back porch. She'll scratch and huff until we let her out, only to have her drink up the birdbath water, then come back in and take yet another nap. All the while her dish is filled with perfectly good tap water.
