I was horrified to hear of the Army helicopter that had a mid-air collision with an American Airlines flight.
I was nearly as horrified to hear our president speculate on what may or may not have been the cause of the accident. The speculation certainly does no good. The blame will fall where it falls, and creating ripples in the pond of confusion certainly does no one any good. Somewhere between the controllers and the pilots, something went terribly wrong. We have to find out.
My thoughts and prayers to out to those affected.

I agree; President Trump needs to know when to dial down the crap. OTOH, why on earth was a military helicopter doing a training flight anywhere near a busy international airport?
Looks like a lot of figure skaters and coaches were on that airliner. Sad.

As a former Army helicopter pilot, I can tell you that the majority of blame will probably fall on the helo pilots.
The RJ was cleared for landing and was on short-final.Without question, it had the right-of-way. The helo pilots apparently did not see the RJ, plus, they apparently were not at the normal altitude for the low level route down the east side of the Potomac river.
Amen, and yes, NOT the time to be chiming in.

BREAKING: The Last Interview of Blackhawk Pilot Joe Ellis—Was This Crash Intentional? 🚨
Just ONE DAY before piloting the Blackhawk that collided mid-air with a passenger jet over DC, transgender military pilot Joe Ellis appeared on the Michael Smerconish podcast. In the interview, Ellis expressed anger over Trump’s ban on trans service members, calling it a direct threat to a career in the military.
Now, 68 people are dead, and serious questions remain:
🔹 Was this another trans terrorist attack?
🔹 Did Ellis crash into the jet on purpose?
And the family of the third soldier will not let the army release his/her name. If I was in a fatal car crash , can my family hide my identity?
Jo Ellis made an appearance on some news program after the accident denying claims that he was the pilot. So it was not him. The name of the pilot was published today as one Rebeca Lobach, not a transvestite of any kind. Go to the Gateway Pundit for details all of it.
And go to DiveMedic at Area Ocho blog for more info about the 3rd crew, female, minimal hours in type, gay?, duty station @ White House.
