Olbermann suspended

It looks like MSNBC suspended Keith Olbermann. It seems that he donated money to some political campaigns and that's a violation of corporate policy.

I'm all about free speech, and I don't care to whom Keith might donate money, but if it violated corporate policy, then it looks like it violates company policy.

Cooperate policy or not it seems MSNBC is playing a lot of CYOA with that suspension. Seems that for whatever reason they woke up. It strikes me as very dangerous for someone in the media to dump money in to political campaigns, then stump for them while under the guise of a "neutral" reporting manner. If this was a political cat either liberal or otherwise that was open on it, sure I could see it. The fact that MSNBC claims to be a neutral media and he did this? Yeah I would say that he earned his dues for this suspension. Not to mention he is a complete dingbat on top of it all.

Oops... He just 'thought' he was above the rules... Not so much and now he's gone! But I don't see it as a great loss!

He committed no crime… Nobody with an IQ above 30 thinks Olbermann is either impartial or a journalist, so it’s not like his credibility was tarnished. He has none. His on-air advocacy for candidates provided far more assistance than a couple of grand quietly donated to their coffers.

I'd never heard of Keith Olbermann until I read Pawpaw's post, but y'all know what? He's either very dumb or wanted to get fired.
