It seems that the US House voted yesterday to formalize an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden. Whatever that means.
I don't know if this move is wise. Whether or not Joe Biden is crooked is not the question. We all know that Biden is crooked. A simple review of his government salary vs what he owns tells us everything we need to know. He didn't buy that beach house on a government salary.
Taking this to its logical conclusion tells us that they don't have enough votes in the Senate to convict. So this is just a fishing expedition. Finding facts that might be useful later. This inquiry may open a lot of roads for the Republicans to go down, but the question becomes; do they want to go down those roads? If Joe loses the presidency next year, he'll just be another dottering old fool spending his last days at his beach house.
I'm not sure what they think they might accomplish.

Names, always the names. Who knows what that person may say or do later but Joe will stick to their shoe much dog poo forever. Because you know this wasn't just "in-house". Boblinsky proves that's.
If we used the standard of “they have accumulated more wealth than is realistically feasible on their salary” as the indicator of corruption then everyone who has been in the house or senate for more than 4 years would be considered corrupt. That is totally fine to me but we have to do it across the board not selectively.
On the one hand, I agree, nothing will actually get done. OTOH, the evidence is overwhelmingly damning...
I think Joe NEEDS to be retired and left to spare us both the trouble of getting out of bed and making a fool of himself on live TV. I don't see any accomplishments for Good. I see a lot of Biden Stupid Decisions made that are causing irreprable harm to our country. Many already think the US can have a fork stuck in us - we're done. Another 4 years will make it so.
Whoever the next President is, they will be given a country way worse than 4 years ago.
I think it a waste of time.
The GOP doesn't have have the votes to remove.
