It seems that majority leader Mitch McConnell has the votes to use the same rules for the Trump impeachment that the Democratic Senate relied on when it tried President Bill Clinton.
That seems fair to me. Why should the rules of an impeachment trial change just because the players have changed?
Nancy Pelosi wanted the change the rules to suit their own narrative and desires. They want to make up the rules as they go along. But, that ain't the way it works.
