Calibration Error?

It seems that when you vote in Illinois, if you vote for a Republican, the machine records your vote for a Democrat.
Republican state representative candidate Jim Moynihan went to vote Monday at the Schaumburg Public Library.
“I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast the vote for my opponent,” Moynihan said. “You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.”
The conservative website Illinois Review reported that “While using a touch screen voting machine in Schaumburg, Moynihan voted for several races on the ballot, only to find that whenever he voted for a Republican candidate, the machine registered the vote for a Democrat in the same race. He notified the election judge at his polling place and demonstrated that it continued to cast a vote for the opposing candidate’s party. Moynihan was eventually allowed to vote for Republican candidates, including his own race.
We hear over and over again that voter fraud never happens, yet when we try to vote, it records a Democratic vote.
“This was a calibration error of the touch-screen on the machine,” Scalzitti said. “When Mr. Moynihan used the touch-screen, it improperly assigned his votes due to improper calibration.”
Calibration error, my ass.  It was calibrated to record Dem votes regardless of the intent of the voter.

The guy responsible for calibrating this machine should be serving a federal prison sentence.  This is unconscionable, which is just about what I expect from Democrats.

With this sort of bullshit going on, Trump is right to not accept the result of any elecion, unless he wins it.

This is why they have been pushing electronic voting, vs paper votes (not that they can't fake paper ballots, but it's harder), and how a number of counties in Ohio in the last election had 100% of the vote for Obama. Statistically, a 100% vote is impossible, as simply by voter error, the opponent would get some votes, never mind the number of people actually voting for the opponent. However, if you "fix" the machine, you will get 100% of the vote, and it sounds like the "fix" is in, good & hard.

12.5% is the 'margin of cheat' as of now... sigh

Having calibrated an electronic voting gizmo more than once, I can say it's possible that the scenario in question is merely incompetence and not malfeasance. I have a degree in electronics and can say that, on the bright side, our electronic machine rarely worked, forcing disabled voters to go the manual route with assistance. On the other hand, those I assisted were (how do I put this politely?) idiots. Sigh. I'm glad I decided to stop working at the polling place.
