Belle is telling me that Jimmy Carter has passed away. At age 100.
I was in Carter's Army, and I don't know if the morale plunge came from our disastrous retreat from Vietnam, or the abysmal leadership of Carter. He truly sucked at being President, surpassed only by our current dementia patient.
Carter did good work after he left office, building houses for Habitat for Humanity. He will lie in state for a while, then they will bury him. Yada-yada.

My career spanned before and after Carter. I rate him as worst possible performing president until Biden. And yes, kudos for his later work, but that work affected far fewer citizens than those who were under his horrible administration.

Carter did a poor job in office, Biden has done worse, and Obama falls in between.
Jimmy Carter was a good man, but a terrible POTUS. He was simply out of his league.
Both... I was there too.
Carter - disastrous economy and disastrous Vietnam pull out.
Biden - disastrous economy and disastrous Afghanistan pull out.
Thank the Lord above neither had more than 4 years to try to destroy us.
I remember Carter. He was terrible. And the houses he built for Habitate are falling down. Like most of those house do we you fill them up with stupid people.
