Suddenly, certainly in the past month, I have begun getting text messages from the transportation department at our local School Board. Messages about buses running, or alternate routes. I worked at the School Board for six years and never got a text message, but now five years after retiring, they are blowing my phone up.
I have to be on that side of town tomorrow, and I might drop by and get my number taken off the list.
Or, I might not. I haven't made up my mind yet. Not that I care if Ms. Vercher's bus is running tomorrow, but I know that my phone works.
In other news, I tried my hand at making Chex mix today. It's okay, and certainly as good as the store-bought stuff, but I don't have my recipe nailed yet. I started the seasoning with one stick of melted butter, with one tablespoon each of Worcestershire, Tabasco, and garlic powder. I'm thinking red pepper flakes, but I want to proceed with caution.

Been making it for years. I use one and half stick of butter, 1/3 cup of Worcestershire, 2 tablespoons of season salt, onion powder and garlic powder. I do make a large batch in a roasting pan. Hope that may give you some ideas.
I'll be curious what you end up with.
Double (at least) your spices listed and try adding onion Pouder and seasoned salt.
Aleppo pepper flakes taste great with very little heat. You can find the 8oz bag for a good price. If you like them you’ll start putting them on everything.

I made pseudo-curry Chex mix this year... full box of each cereal plus a couple bags Gardetto garlic chips and a bag of square butter pretzels, melted 2 sticks of butter and blended with 1/4c Nando's Garlic sauce, 2 tbsp Shark brand sriracha, 3 tbsp regular Cajun Power, 1/4c Cajun Power Worchestershire. Powdered spices were 4 tbsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp onion powder, 2 tbsp ancho chile powder, 1 tbsp cayene powder, 1 tbsp guajillo chile powder, 1 tbsp pasilla chile powder, 1/2 tsp ginger, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp galangal, 2 tsp lemongrass, 2 tsp curry powder, 3 tsp garam masala, 2 tsp cumin... avoided extra turmeric so I wouldn't dye my fingers eating it. Next time I will just crack most of the whole seeds in a pan as I melt butter like, making a real curry, then blend all of it together in my blender before applying with a condiment bottle while stirring up the cereal - hoping that reduces the pockets with tons of extra spice.
