The Louisiana Dept of Health is reporting 3315 active cases of Covid-19 today, up 569 from yesterday's reporting. Of those, 927 are hospitalized.
Here in Rapides Parish, Covid cases are reporting at 37 active cases, quite an uptick from yesterday.

Seems folks at Mardi Gras caught more than beads.
As more testing occurs, the numbers will rise.
Do note that we are only testing suspected cases. If we tested 50% of the Louisiana population, the numbers would sky-rocket.
I strongly suspect that there are a huge amount of people who already had it, thought it was just a bad cold(or no symptoms at all), and are now recovered, out of the contagious stage and have some immunity. Not still infected, but they would show antibodies for COVID-19, if tested.
Tell ya why I wont git sick.
