A FRT (Forced Reset Trigger) seems like a lot of fun, and I'm sure that they are. An FRT simulates full-auto fire in a weapon that is perfectly legal to own and use. And it is dangerous, simply because automatic weapons require a different mind-set than semiauto weapons. Because physics wins, every time.
Colion breaks it down for you. The whole video is worth watching because physics does not often lend itself to simplistic explanations.
I have been blessed in my life to shoot plenty of full auto weapons. From the M3 to the M2 and everything between. And I know what happens when a bullet gets out of the range fan. You are responsible for every bullet you fire, from the time the bullet starts moving until it stops moving.
Have fun with these things, but please be careful. Because physics always wins.

Good video, and yes, you 'own' every bullet fired...
Related: landlord installed a binary trigger in his AR-15 so he could "shoot faster". He took aim and got one or two on target followed by a buncha divots moving horizontally across the back yard range. My comment to him: "Yeah, you are missing a lot faster. Good thing you stopped cuz the garage was about to be your bullet trap." I don't see the appeal of missing quickly.
ok i'll through mine in. early 80's submarine torpedoman. subs don't have gunners mates so we handle small arms. headed out to western pacific we were directed to install full auto kits in our three m-14's. Captain came through snd asked if i'd ever fired one full auto? so off to bridge we go. two full magazines and a mk1 mod 0 fish food target(trash bag). being a paper target markman since forever i confidently cradeled that forarm in my left palm and pulled the trigger.missed the trash bag and immediatly started punching holes in the sky, at which time the captain took charge and issued the distinct orders of whoa whoa whoa.
Better to punch holes in the sky than holes in the boat. Or you. Or even worse, the captain. Or possibly even worser, COB.
Here in Michigan, I believe that FRT's are verboten. It doesn't matter to me, I don't have much desire to shoot that way. While it likely has it's place, it would only be a lark and not useful unless we get invaded by a foreign power.
