Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) will sign a measure to award his state’s electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote, moving a countrywide coalition one step closer to circumventing the Electoral College. So, if the nation votes for Candidate A, but Colorado votes overwhelmingly for Candidate B, the electors from Colorado will ignore the will of the state, and vote for the other candidate.
There are so many problems with this scheme that I won't belabor them here. But, if the citizens of Colorado are okay with their vote being totally negated, I guess it's okay with me. This seems like huge Democrat butt-hurt from the last election, and I can't imagine that any pol in Louisiana would dare propose such an idea.
Tar, feathers, some assembly required.

We'd need a seriously leftist Dem governor and I don't see that happening unless you let New Orleans and the inmates in Angola cast the only ballots.
