Minefields a bitch. They cost lives ad they slow down an advance. Every sodier hates minefields, and the engineers are always searching for better ways to clear a gap through a minefield so that troops and equipment can cross safely. Some of those methods include overpressure, a large explosion over the minefield to sympathetically detonate the mines buried. It's quite impressive to see.

As a once 12B some 50 years ago, I say anything that keeps boots out of a mine field is a wonderous thing.
Ahh, Graf in the winter. My last visit was the winter of '62-'63 as a four- deuce FDC guy. Warmest it got during that two week period was -18. Rivers in Germany were freezing solid and people were dying because coal barges couldn't make up the rivers. Fond memories of watching M-60's sliding down the tank trails.
