Should President Trump use the Insurrection Act to send federal troops into Minnesota? I think not.
Better to use US Marshals. The oldest civil law enforcement in the US, successfully used in many such cases, where the local authorities don't want to bend to federal law. Like Lyndon Johnston used them to break Jim Crow.
The US Marshals are a better fit. They are civil law enforcement, and you don't run into Posse Comitatus.

Dunno. Seems to be over the top. But at some point we need to punch the leftists hard.
Yep, send in the marshals. THAT would set the cat among the pigeons!
I agree with Paul. If it were one city, then the Marshalls. But they are trying to make this national. There are a lot of people that are virtue signaling and are rather ignorant of the consequences. Flood the area with troops, encircle the protestors, and arrest all of them. Charge all of them. Start making this real and not a game. House them with illegal aliens awaiting deportment. Let them deal with the people for whom they are protesting. I would even do Co-ed in the Arizona Desert. I know the problems that would cause, its a feature not a bug. Charge them with felonies.
LARPing and fun time are over. You made it serious, now we're serious.
I think it would be a wiser move to send in the Marshall service - they would have better training in crowd control etc. That would appear to be less provocative too.
