Fox News is reporting that Donald Trump may face a legal challenge for a hush money payment he made to a porn star in 2016.
Former President Donald Trump said leaks indicate that he will be arrested on Tuesday next week after reports said the Manhattan District Attorney's office is preparing to issue an indictment for alleged hush money payments Trump made as a presidential candidate in 2016.
Donald Trump may be the most despised President in modern history. I voted for the man twice, and generally, I liked his polices, although I sometimes thought his politics were a bit harsh. Mean tweets certainly didn't help. Let's not forget that Left was truly invested in a Hillary presidency and the stunning defeat she suffered tended to truly throw the progressives into angst and anguish.
It is my fear that this indictment and possible arrest will forever taint the upcoming presidential race. This case is a state charge arising out of Manhattan, and legal scholars are doubtful that the DA will prevail in the prosecution. This is political showmanship and the charges surely will not survive a Motion to Dismiss.

Charges may be dismissed, but what the prosecutor is absolutely lusting after (as with many on the left) are videos of him walking down the hallway in handcuffs. Guaranteed no matter where it is, directive is for him to be cuffed and there *will* be the media there to capture it in full high-def.
And the Feds refused to prosecute this. Bragg also 'elevated' this from misdemeanor to felony somehow...

Of course there was a Grand Jury leak. This is to try the case in the court of public opinion, because the DA probably won't prevail in court. And the charges and innuendo will be repeated 24x7 in the MSM for the rest of the 2024 election period, with the objective of eliminating Trump.
Also, in the future when any public figure brings up Trump, this will be brought up to smear & disqualify Trump, and by association the person bringing him up. Only Trump opponents will be immune.
Trump has been investigated and harassed for over six years now and this is the best they can find? Desperation is all this is. I pray for him every night, no person should be treated this way. Why not spend the time to investigate a long list of sumbitches who have actually committed crime while in office?

I've watched the US from the outside for years having spent a couple of months there in 1981. I loved those couple of months and would have stayed but in those days you had a thing called a border and when I got home life got in the way of a dream.
