The Ventilator Shortae

Remember just a few short weeks ago when everyone was screaming about the shortage of "live-saving ventilators".  Well, it turns out that they're not so life-saving after all.
Nearly all Covid-19 patients put on ventilators in New York's largest health system died, study finds.
Well, that's certainly not good news.  Of course, the story is from CNN and I've learned to only believe about half of what CNN reports.  As opposed to MSDNC, wich is only about 10% accurate.

Boss,
If you trust them 50%, you are WAY more trusting than I. If they sid the sun was going to rise in the East tomorrow, I’d get up to make sure!

Even in the best of circumstances, anybody on a ventilator only has a 50/50 chance of making it. Ventilators are a last ditch effort to save someone when surgery isn't involved. One interesting point I've been following, is if they will roll the ventilated patient over their odds of recovery go up. Kind of makes sense if you think about what you do for kids with cystic fibrosis or over-active mucus secretions in asthma.
Another interesting point, it sounds like Vitamin D and C deficiencies along with Zinc are contributing to whether or not you get it and how bad. On the Vitamin D front, studies are showing we are low in the winter time. 46% of pale Caucasians, 86% of the Blacks, and 70% of Hispanics are deficient in the winter. Because most Native Americans have about the same skin-tone range as Hispanics I'd expect their percentages are the same. This might help explain why this virus is so devastating for Blacks, Hispanics and Native Americans.
