I've always heard them referred to as "Tree Rats". I don't think of them as big enough to be chicken equivalents. I agree that Iguana makes a better comparison to chicken, though it has a far smaller range in the USA than squirrels do.

'Chicken of the Trees' is iguana, yes ? I wonder if they taste similar.
