The professor links to a story about Detroit, that stronghold of voter integrity. Records: Too many votes in 37% of Detroit’s precincts.
Detailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books. Voting irregularities in Detroit have spurred plans for an audit by Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s office, Elections Director Chris Thomas said Monday.Enact Voter ID laws now, and prosecute those who commit voter fraud. I can't understand the problem other states seem to have with voter ID. Everyone seems happy here in La. At least we don't have things like I saw many moons ago when I was a commissioner and saw one woman come in and vote no less than 5 times by going and changing her wig and dress. No point in saying anything, this was back in the day of political local bosses and nothing would have come of it. GW
