We got up this morning and pestered the dog, ate some cereal, then took a boat ride around the little lake that centers our subdivision. Made a list and went to the store, bought the stuff on the list, then came home and fixed a bicycle, worked on the pool, then it was time for lunch.
While I was at the store, I bought some chicken strips, so we ate several of those for lunch.
Now, it's time to go to the auction. Busy day ahead.

Thanks for the update PawPaw. It's great to see the boy even though I'm not there. Love y'all!
What kind of boat? I can remember paddling around a little lake at my Great-grandpa's house in a peddle-boat when I was in kindergarten. Good times.
Hey, blueskin. This boat is a little 12 foot jon boat that belonged to my grandfather. It was made by the Appleby manufacturing company (Missouri) in 1967, and this kid is the fifth generation to ride in that boat. The transom has rotted out a half-dozen times (I've replaced it twice myself), but the aluminum is still in good shape. It's rated for a 10 hp motor, but for pond duty, I use a trolling motor.
Good times! And i'll bet the grandson is a handful! :-)
