My elder son came over today and worked the nail gun while I measured and cut. We completed the framing for the air-conditioning and framed the second wall.
Carpentry goes a whole lot quicker when you have a helper. Tomorrow we'll stand up the two remaining walls, install the second header boards, then I can go buy materials for the roof.

Is that a pack of cigarettes in your pocket?
Where do you get PINK 2X4s?
Flintlock Tom
J. Yeah, dammit, that is a pack of cigarettes. I have no will power at all.
Tom. Those are precut studs. We've been using them around here for twenty years. They paint em pink so you can tell the difference between them and an eight foot 2x4 at a glance.
Doesn't everyone use pink studs? I think they are attractive.

We got them too, but they aren't pink. It's a good idea though. They look just like a 2x4-8', but they are two 2x4 thicknesses shorter and a few cents cheaper.
Never seen 'em pink though. I thought it was some local anti-termite thingy. You would think they would take a more "manly" color though. I suppose green is already taken (pressure treated)
