Today, former president Donald Trump will surrender to police authorities in New York to be formally charged with crimes that are, as yet, unpublished. He will be booked, which normally consists of filling out forms, being fingerprinted, and a photo taken. Then he will go to a courtroom where he will be arraigned.
Every criminal defendant in the US has certain protections. These are outlined in the Miranda warning, and it behooves all criminal defendants to exercise these protections to their fullest.
President Trump will be represented by counsel and will have the right to remain silent. Like Ron White, I don't know if he will have the ability. It would behoove him to only speak through his lawyers until this matter is settled.

I read a telling meme on another site: DONALD TRUMP WAS INDITED BEFORE ANYONE ON THE JEFFERY EPSTEIN'S CLIENT LIST. Doesn't that say it all.
Pedophile suspects are less important that stopping Donald Trump from running again.
Agreed!
Never miss an opportunity to keep your mouth shut.
