It looks like Zeta is coming ashore today as a Cat 2 hurricane. It will focus on southeast LA and the New Orleans metro area. Because this one is a fast-mover, it will be mainly a wind event, but they haven't posted potential storm surge numbers yet, and we all recall that it was storm surge the killed New Orleans during Katrina.
I don't expect much impact on my acre. We had a rain band moving through earlier, but the wind shouldn't get over 10-15 mph. Just a gentle breeze. The folks in New Orleans are n for a ride, though and we'll keep them in our prayers.
