I saw this recipe a while back, and wanted to try it. Milady previewed it on her bunch at work, so we adopted it as a standard. It's another fairly easy slow-cooker recipe, and it combines a lot of goodness in one pot. We tripled the recipe, but the ratios are fairly easy, you can half it if you'd like. They call it crack chicken, I understand, because if you combine cream cheese, ranch dressing, and bacon, it's more addictive than crack cocaine. I admit that it's pretty damned fine.
Crack Chicken
8 lbs boneless chicken tenderloins
4 block (8 oz) cream cheese
4 packs dry ranch dressing mix
Bacon. (I'll leave you to your own devices. Because, Bacon)
Prep.
Put a slow cooker liner in your slow cooker. Put in the chicken, the cream cheese and the ranch dressing mix. Yep, in the picture below, that's raw chicken, cream cheese, and ranch dressing mix. Put it on low. Don't worry that you don't have any liquid. That cheese will melt.
We put ours on at night, and go to bed. The original recipe says 4-6 hours, but we're cooking a lot more than the original recipe. Don't worry about it. It'll cook.
Next morning, we get up, put on coffee, and notice that everything is bubbling happily in the slow cooker, so we get out a big bowl and dredge the chicken out of the liquid.
See all that liquid in the pot? You're going to need that.
Get a couple of forks, and shred the chicken. Kind of like pulled pork, but chicken.
Add your crispy bacon, and give it a stir.
Then, put it back in the slow cooker. Set it to "warm". The kids will be here for lunch, and we'll introduce them to crack chicken.

We have had this and you are correct, it is extremely addictive.
Excellent stuff
Drooling over here... sigh
You put dat on rice or just eat it?
No, Goatwhiskers, we ate it on buns, like a sandwich. However, it would be good over noodles, or in a taco, or even over a baked potato.
Cooked it today, DELICIOUS!! I will say that I'd like it a little more juicy. Gonna try the same recipe with a pork roast. Highly optimistic. GW
