Side benefit to wax bullet shooting. A standard primer load will make a stray cat take a hike. LA Calamity Jane just sent another stray cat over the cedar fence. The cat ain't hurt, but I believe he got the message.
Now, the gun is put away and I'm going to bed. Watching that cat go over the fence made the whole day worthwhile.

Heh... I can imagine! And moving 'targets' are a challenge!
In the Dark Ages I had a Wham-o slingshot. Malted milk balls launched from it would also encourage stray critters to decamp in unbridled haste. The little candies seemed to disappear in a matter of minutes. I had a lot of fun springing surprises on the local ferals. I got pretty good with that little slingshot, too.
Years later I used one to stun grouse with a glass marble to the head. much quieter than a pistol shot and no meat ruined.
