The Guild’s startling decision came after the company’s unions’ resolve to protect lifetime job guarantees began to crumble early this morning as the mailers union agreed to modify the perk under threat of a shutdown of the paperWhoever heard of a lifetime job guarantee? The mob, maybe. Federal civil service. That's about it. Certainly not in commerce.
Anyone in management who ever agreed to Lifetime Job Guarantees deserves to go out of business. It's ironic that unions exist to protect the employee, but then the union demands often drive the business into bankruptcy.
Lifetime job guarantees. How's that working out for you now?

You can add the leftard Portland Oregonian to that list. The paper is but a shadow of it's former self, and they just hammered me with a 30% subscription price increase, and I canceled, as will a high percentage of their other subscribers.
Now, if we could just figure out how to take down a few TV networks, some balance MIGHT be restored in the national media.
