Played Again

It seems that the Biden administration got played again today by Russia in the international prisoner swap.  We're trading a convicted international arms dealer for a WNBA player who doesn't like the US.  While, of course, a Marine veteran languishes in a Russian jail.

Just another example of the Biden crew not having their priorities in order.

  1. They were once again pandering to their base... And obviously a white military man is NOT their base.

  2. If I were an international traveler I'd be VERY careful which countries I planned to visit. Biden has shown he is a pushover when it comes to dealing with Americans incarcerated abroad. Wonder what will happen when the next American is kidnapped and held for exorbitant ransom by some rogue group. He just made a terribly uneven exchange, MUCH to the advantage of the other side.

  3. its disgusting. We see that the current administration cares more about an antipatriot celebrity than for an actual servicemember of the United States of America. Let's Go Brandon!

This wasn't accidental. They so desperately want to show you exactly what they think of you...

  5. I agree- they knew exactly what they were doing, and yet again they show who they value and who they don't value.

  6. So I looked up Paul Whelan and found he was court-marshaled and convicted. He was given a dishonorable discharged for larceny and other lesser offenses, after being found to have tried to steal $10,000.

  7. Glasslass: After reading your comment I did some research, too. The Washington Post has a very detailed and seemingly complete article at https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/12/08/who-is-paul-whelan/, and Wikipedia (with a grain of salt) has more. After a few other sites I have completely changed my mind. I wonder if larceny and a Bad Conduct Discharge disengage from "once a Marine, always a Marine."

In any case, I have no problem now with his continued residence other than I do with all who live in such conditions.

    It depends./rimshot/
