Alec Baldwin Is Pond Scum

 Alec Baldwin filed papers Friday, saying, basically, that he was not at fault in the tragic killing of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Alec Baldwin filed legal papers Friday denying any responsibility for shooting dead Halyna Hutchins — even blaming the late cinematographer for giving him the directions that led to the deadly accident.

Blaming the victim, huh, Alec?  That is a pond-scum move.

While I agree that there had to be a cascade of mistakes that led to this horrible incident, the most basic mistake was letting an idiot such as Baldwin be anywhere on the same acre of a firearm of any type. Whether it be wooden, plastic, or steel, Alec Baldwin has no business handling it.  Period.

As I have said before, the evidence is clear that Alec Baldwin pointed a loaded gun at Ms. Hutchins and caused it to discharge. The facts are not in dispute.  He was holding the firearm and his thumb was on the hammer.  He released the hammer and the weapon fired.  He is responsible.  He may not be culpable, but the courts will decide that.

I'm not in to "cancel culture", but if Alec Baldwin showed up at one of my shoots, I would not allow him to handle any firearm of any type.  He is not competent to do so, and he is unwilling to admit responsibility for his own mistakes.
