I've been sleeping with a CPAP mask sine ~ 2005 and occasionally, there is an issue. Once suchcropped up last night when my mask broke. So, I went to my Doc, looking fora mask and came home with a ResMed AirFit N20 Nasal Mask, #63502.
Not that anybody cares, but I use this blog for this sort of thing, so I can remember what I got, and when I got it.
That's odd, those things usually don't break.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom and my older brother wear one . I used to stop breathing many times a night and was thinking about getting one but my wife noticed that when I slept in my recliner I never stopped breathing . Guess where I now sleep ?
ReplyDeleteLike you, since around 1995. Over the years I've had a few mask failures but have worn out several harnesses. I'm fortunate to have Goodhealth, a medical thrift store, in my town.
ReplyDeleteMy machine is a ResMed too, but a different mask design. No idea which one, but the headstrap lower attachments are beside the nosepiece and uppers are above the eye sockets on a central stem. My CPAP which doctor issues a new masks when sleep report is taken every six months. I rarely replace the masks, only when too grungy, never had a breakage so far.
ReplyDeleteSleeping without the CPAP is an issue with me unless I fall asleep on couch and sleep all night. Seems like an elevated head with feet lower like a low recliner has best sleep results.
COVID has CPAP doctor consultations mainly by phone, not in person. They are front line COVID warriors so don't mind that.
I'm glad you got your issues ironed out so quickly.
