Our Governor Reviews 2020

In his message to Louisiana, our governor releases the following statement on his Facebook page:

2020 was a year unlike any other. At my inauguration in January, I was hopeful for all that we would accomplish together for our state. Even after this turbulent year defined by the COVID-19 pandemic and a difficult hurricane season, I'm still hopeful. Through everything the people of this great state have endured this year, Louisianans never lost hope nor did they lose faith in each other. I am inspired by the resilience I have witnessed this year and look forward to a better 2021 with all of you. #lagov

Good for you, Governor.   Whatever else your legacy, you will be known as the governor who presided over the largest contraction of personal liberty since Reconstruction.  For better or worse, that's your legacy.  You take pride in saying that your decisions were based on expert recommendations, but we're learning that those experts have shattered their own reputations.  Dr. Deborah Birx has resigned over her hypocrisy, and Dr Antony Faucci has been shading data in an attempt to change behavior.  At this point, if you believe anything that Faucci says, you are simply a useful idiot.

So, let's look at the first year of your second term.  The tourism industry is completely shattered, the hospitality industry is on life-support.  More Louisianans are dependent on the federal government,  Louisiana's tax base is eroded significantly, and we have a huge problem with out-migration.  Louisiana state government is absolutely dependent on federal largess.

So, Bel, as you take your self-congratulatory lap, you must weigh the horrible damage that this state has suffered under your  adherence to the expert advise.  This year has been a disaster under any known metric.  Any good done by mandates and emergency orders is surely outweighed by the tragic consequences of those same orders.  Louisiana is an absolute disaster, and it happened under your watch.

I can feel your pain . We in the Buckeye have a tyrant governor that is doing his best to destroy our state . At least your guy is a democrat and we expected that much from him . Ours purports to be a republican Ha!Ha!Ha! Hopefully Uncle Phil will run next time but I think he has too much common sense for that move.
