Analysis; True

The pollsters were wrong, the pundits were wrong, the only guys who were right were:

Mail-in ballots are a pox on the democratic process.  The only way to have secure, reliable elections are with in-person voting with proper ID requirements.  Anything else is an invitation to fraud.  Which is what we are seeing right now

I used mail-in balloting while on Army active duty, in the late '80s. However, it was not real simple.

I submitted my request for a mail-in ballot, numerous weeks in advance, along with the reasons I would be absent.
After receiving the paperwork, I filled out the ballot and signed it. Then my commanding officer had to sign it, and another witness.

Then I mailed it to the Registrar of Voters.
