Buyback

The Mayor of Alexandria, LA, Mayor Jeff Hall is announcing a gun buy-back to be conducted in February.

This idea is horrible on so many levels, and has failed everywhere else it has been tried, so it doesn't surprise me that the City of Alexandria wants to try it.  Of course, Mayor Hall is a democrat, so we really can't expect things like fully staffing the police department, or making life tough for criminals.  Just buy their guns, no questions asked.

  1. Gather the local firearms enthusiasts with available cash, and go hang out outside. Offer market prices, in cash, for guns.

Rejoice in the lamentations of the powerless wussies while saving guns from the hoplophobes.

    Winning!

  2. Create "firearms" with Pipes and 2X4s.

    Sell them to .GOV

Use $ to go buy guns, preferably from folks standing in line at the "buyback"

HowinHeck can .GOV Buy Back, what it did not sell?

Are the cops and city officials filling out Federal paperwork for these purchases ? If not, are they breaking local or federal laws ? Just asking.

  4. Yep, gather some bucks and hit the line before they get inside... You might find some 'deals'...

This would be classified as a private sale, so no. In Louisiana, private sales are not illegal unless the firearm is stolen, or the the sale/purchase is to/from a minor or adult that you know is prohibited from owning a firearm.
